14th October at 8.30pm at the Photo Parlour, Nottingham
The event
As part of our Inside the Outside 2016 exhibition schedule in Nottingham, we are delighted to announce a very rare opportunity to hear Alex Boyd give a talk outside Scotland. We’ve brought Alex all the way from the Outer Hebrides to give an exclusive, illustrated talk for Inside the Outside.
Alex will be both exhibiting and talking about his current series ‘The Hebrides’ which began in 2013 when he was appointed as the Royal Scottish Academy Artist in Residence on the Isle of Skye. Having trained in the US with contemporary artists using Victorian photographic processes, he wanted to push his practice in new directions, physically, mentally, and aesthetically.
